Under the background of “double reduction” policy,science popularization activities are an important supplement to school education,and science popularization bases have become the main position to carry out science popularization education for young people. This paper takes the science popularization base of Tianjin Binhai New Area Meteorological Early Warning Center as an example,introduces the overview of the science popularization base,as well as the immersive exhibits such as meteorological broadcasting hall,wind bicycle,and wind and rain simulator,analyzes the deficiencies of the meteorological science popularization of the Binhai New Area,and gives suggestions on five aspects,namely,strengthening the standardization of the management,enhancing the team’s professionalism,strengthening the cooperation of the departments,enhancing the fineness of the science popularization study planning,and expanding the market for science popularization,so as to promote the dissemination and popularization of meteorological knowledge,and facilitate the high-quality development of meteorological science popularization in Binhai New Area.
