Abstract: As an important traffic carrier to maintain urban development,bridge is a key node to ensure the normal passage of the road network,and bears the important tasks of people’s travel,economic development and social stability. At this stage,the general public has little understanding of the necessity of extending the service life of bridges and carrying out normal bridge maintenance work,has weak awareness of bridge disease prevention and mitigation,and has complaints on the impact of bridge maintenance and repair construction on the road. This paper elaborates the cutting-edge technologies in the detection,maintenance and reinforcement of in-service bridge diseases,and popularizes the characteristics,cutting-edge detection technologies and potential safety risks of small and medium-sized bridges in Tianjin,as well as bridge disaster prevention and control measures,so as to provide popular science services for bridge safety maintenance and disaster prevention and control for the general public in Tianjin.
