Optimization and retrofitting of gas flotation oil recovery system in an offshore oil field
    ZHENG Wu
    2025, 52 (09):  29-32.
    Abstract ( 11 )   Save
As oilfield production progresses into the middle and late stages, the comprehensive water cut gradually increases, leading to a year-on-year rise in produced water treatment volumes. Consequently, the operational pressure on gas flotation systems intensifies. During primary oil recovery via gas flotation, suboptimal oil separation efficiency was observed, resulting in prolonged secondary oil recovery time and elevated oil content in the gas flotation effluent. This caused a sudden surge in treatment pressure on downstream water treatment equipment, ultimately leading to non-compliant treated water quality and adversely affecting injection water quality for reservoir pressure maintenance. To ensure compliance with water injection quality standards, maintain formation properties, and guarantee stable and high oil production in the oilfield,it is urgent to retrofit the primary air flotation oil recovery system. This retrofitting will effectively improve the treatment efficiency of the system and provide strong support for the continuous and stable production of the oilfield.

Role of inventive concept in accurate determination of inventiveness and case analysis
    LI Xing
    2025, 52 (09):  33-35+39.
    Abstract ( 10 )   Save
Inventive concept generally refers to the technical improvement ideas proposed by the inventor to solve the technical problems faced during the completion of the invention and creation. When using the “three-step method” for creative evaluation,it is easy to overlook technical issues and effects, only consider technical means, and mechanically compare technical features, resulting in inaccurate creative evaluation. If comprehensive consideration is combined with the inventive concept in the creative evaluation process,it is beneficial to reduce the deviation in creative evaluation.

Application research on combined huff-n-puff mode for heavy oil thermal recovery in Shengli Oilfield
    WANG Haorui
    2025, 52 (09):  36-39.
    Abstract ( 8 )   Save
After nearly 40 years of development,Shengli Oilfield has entered the high-cycle post-huff-n-puff stage, and the unbalanced utilization leads to the poor throughput development effect. The combined huff-n-puff method effectively improves the high-cycle development effect and increases the recovery rate at the huff-n-puff stage. However,Shengli Oilfield is rich in heavy oil types, and the development stages of oil wells are very different,so a single combined huff-n-puff mode is difficult to adapt to all reservoirs. By establishing different combinations of huff-n-puff modes, the paper provides experience for improving the development mode of heavy oil reservoirs in Shengli Oilfield.

    CHEN Wei
    2025, 52 (09):  111-114.
    Abstract ( 9 )   Save
Whether artificial intelligence (AI) tools can pass the qualification examination for publishing professionals (examination in brief) is an important sign to test whether AI tools can replace humans, but the performance of AI tools in China’s qualification examination for publishing professionals has not been reported. This study used real questions from the examination (both intermediate and elementary levels) as experimental materials to test the performance of five well-known domestic AI tools, namely ChatGLM,Qwen,iFlytek Spark,ERNIE Bot and 360 Zhinao,in the examination. The results show that four of the AI tools (ChatGLM,Qwen,iFlytek Spark, and ERNIE Bot) passed the elementary-level examination, while none of the five AI tools passed the intermediate-level examination, indicating that AI tools can replace humans as assistant editors (assistant technical editor or second-level proofreader) to a certain extent, but can not serve as editors (technical editor or first-level proofreader). By comprehensively comparing the scores of different AI tools in different question types and different test contents, suggestions on the application of AI tools are put forward to provide references for improving the quality and efficiency of editing and publishing works.
