Abstract: Conducting science popularization work is one of the important functions of science and technology journals. In order to better utilize the science popularization function of emergency science and technology journals and assist in the development of national emergency science popularization capabilities,this paper analyzes the current situation of science popularization work in emergency science and technology journals from the aspects of journal orientation,publication of science popularization articles,construction of science popularization sites,organization of science popularization activities,and research and development of science popularization products. Relevant suggestions are put forward as follows: further clarify the orientation to better fulfill the responsibility of science popularization; further tap into resources to innovate the content and methods of science popularization; further strengthen cooperation to expand the channels of science popularization services; and further improve the scientific literacy of editors to expand the team of science popularization talents.
