Abstract: Focusing on current issues in primary and secondary schools such as insufficient after-school extended courses, teaching staff, and equipment,it is proposed to build a “society-school-family” consortium. Adhering to the principles of reducing quantity while improving quality, ensuring continuous and systematic activities, and respecting and meeting students’ physical and mental development as well as the integration of science and daily life, the responsibilities of society, schools, and families in collaborative education are clarified. Some approaches, such as community science corners, science popularization supermarkets, and family science popularization kits, are leveraged to enhance the after-school extended services, aiming to provide a theoretical basis for the future development of the city-level “society-school-family” consortium.

Key words: “Double Reduction” policy, science popularization resources, after-school extended services, society-school-family consortium
