Abstract: Using CiteSpace software, this study conducts a systematic bibliometric analysis of 407 research articles on large-scale instrument platforms indexed in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) database from 2004 to 2024. By constructing a scientific knowledge map for the research field of large-scale instrument platforms in universities, the research hotspots, frontier trends, and development trends of this field were systematically revealed. From a bibliometric perspective, the literature growth patterns, distribution characteristics of core author groups, collaborative networks among leading institutions, and the composition of high-impact journals were investigated. Through keyword co-occurrence analysis and time-zone evolution method,it is found that the research in this field shows a phased development trend. Furthermore, through an integrated approach combining keyword detection and cluster analysis, critical future research directions are discerned, with particular emphasis on establishing professional training frameworks for large-scale instrument platforms and evaluating their adaptive potential in higher education reform and innovation.
