Abstract: Based on the hourly observation data of meteorological stations in Xiqing from 2018 to 2022,the impact of urbanization on the meteorological elements in Xiqing was compared and analyzed. The results show that urbanization makes the air temperature in urban areas higher than that in rural areas, with the largest temperature difference in winter. The extreme value of minimum temperature is more obvious between urban and rural areas. The difference of intra-day temperature is more significant at night, but the difference of minimum temperature is only significant at the second half of the night. There is no significant difference between urban and rural areas in precipitation. The wind speed in urban areas is weaker than that in rural areas, and the average wind speed and its difference are the largest in spring, while the difference of extreme wind speed is the largest in summer. The average wind speed and extreme wind speed in urban and rural areas have diurnal variation, and the wind speed difference at noon is the most obvious.
