Abstract: Rural domestic waste treatment is a weak link in China’s urban and rural environmental governance,and also a key direction for the implementation of waste classification and the construction of “waste free cities” in the new stage.Composting is the main application technology of perishable waste disposal in rural domestic waste in China. Through investigation and analysis of the current situation of the application of composting technology in rural areas in China,combined with typical case studies,the characteristics of current composting technology application,construction investment and operating costs,trial and promotion conditions in rural areas of China are elaborated,on this basis,the measures and suggestions for the future application and development are proposed.
