Abstract: Science popularization in rural areas is an important means to promote the scientific and cultural literacy of farmers,flourish rural culture and promote the modernization of rural education. It is very important to explore the way to improve the efficiency of science popularization in the ethnic areas of Yunnan Province to promote rural revitalization. Questionnaire and in-depth interview were used to investigate the rural science popularization work in 9 counties （cities） of Yunnan Province. To address the common problems in rural science popularization in ethnic areas of Yunnan Province,and based on the inherent requirements of improving the efficiency of rural science popularization in the new era of rural revitalization strategy,this paper proposes practical paths to enhance the efficiency of rural science popularization in ethnic areas of Yunnan Province,such as grassroots science popularization planning,coordinating science popularization resource elements,and transforming science popularization models.
