Abstract: Under the background of the country's vigorous development of science and technology,the importance of science and technology communication has become more prominent. As an important medium for science and technology communication,the importance of science and technology books is self-evident. Editing and proofreading work is a very important part of the publishing process for science and technology books and plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of books. By analyzing common editing and proofreading errors in science and technology books and the underlying causes of quality decline,countermeasures and recommendations are proposed to improve the editing and proofreading quality of science and technology books.
