Design and Development of Steam Leakage Monitoring System for Offshore Steam Thermal Recovery Platform

Abstract: The leakage of boilers and related steam pipelines on offshore oil thermal recovery platform cannot be timely detected and accurately located. The temperature measurement technology of infrared thermal imaging and distributed optical fiber is used to realize the real-time monitoring of steam leakage of thermal recovery equipment on the thermal recovery platform. Through monitoring the abnormal temperature distribution or change of steam equipment and pipeline,whether the high-temperature steam in the production process leaks can be judged. The prototype of relevant achievements has been installed and applied to a project in Bohai Sea,ensuring the stable and safe operation of the offshore oil thermal recovery platform,and accumulating relevant experience for subsequent project applications.
