Abstract: With the national promotion of professional certification of engineering education in China, the engineering background and practical ability which students lack are particularly important in colleges training applied senior talents of electrical majors. Virtual reality (VR) is a computer-aid simulation technology. It creates a virtual electrical laboratory in response to the experimental conditions which are difficult to achieve in traditional electrical laboratories, while ensuring low experimentation cost and maintenance cost. Besides,it helps find students' weaker ability and design targeted experiments. In the virtual laboratory, students are allowed to simulate electrical accidents and directly observe the consequence with their safety protected. VR technology enables students to master electrical safety knowledge and improve relevant professional skills, and also contributes to improving the experimental teaching level.
