Abstract: Wax oil is a gas-phase reaction product of the hydrogenation unit. Before entering the cold high-pressure separator,it needs to be injected with a mixture of desalinated water and stripping purified water. Due to the overhaul of the device, the pipeline filter in front of the water injection pump is blocked periodically after restart, and the filter needs to be cleaned every 20 days or so. The analysis of the filter blockages shows that the blockages are organic matter. An analysis of the hardness, suspended solids, and bacterial count of the two incoming streams before the water injection buffer tank indicates that the blockages are formed by the proliferation and deposition of a large number of microorganisms. After selecting representative sampling points, the water samples of each sampling point were monitored on site, and the factors affecting microbial growth and reproduction, such as temperature,pH value,COD (chemical oxygen demand),TN (total nitrogen),dissolved oxygen and the number of bacteria in the water were analyzed. Based on the test results, the cause of periodic blockage of the filter was identified.
