Abstract: With the development of science and technology,the speed of global open access is accelerating,OA has become an inevitable trend in the development of academic publishing in the future. Based on the statistical research on the development status of open access journals in Chongqing,this paper analyzes the number of journals,the situation of their founding,the classification of disciplines,the distribution of sponsors and publishers,the publishing cycle and time,the publishing costs,the copyright and creative commons license and the influence of journals. The results show that the development speed of OA journals in Chongqing is still in the initial stage compared with the international level,and there are problems such as unbalanced development of disciplines and a small number of Chinese open access journals. At the same time,the corresponding development suggestions are proposed to promote the development process of open access journals in Chongqing.
