Abstract: Based on the revisions of the “Guidelines for Patent Examination 2023”,this paper focuses on the modifications to the examination requirements for patent applications involving “architectural plan design drawings”. Combined the examination practice and legal analysis,starting from the changes in relevant examples of the interpretation of the technical solution,the relationship between the technical solution and technical problem,technical features,and technical effect is analyzed,and the meaning of laws of nature and their role in utility model patent examination,especially in the examination of protected objects are explored. It is discussed from multiple perspectives whether patent applications involving “architectural plan design drawings” belong to the protected objects of utility model patents.
