Abstract: Transmitters are key devices for monitoring and controlling the operational parameters of Christmas trees on offshore platforms. By conducting real-time monitoring of transmitter parameters, the platform can understand the equipment conditions, make process adjustments, and perform safe operations. Focusing on the problems existing in the access scheme of transmitters for Christmas trees to the central control system on offshore platforms, this paper compares the advantages and disadvantages of traditional wired instrument access and the emerging wireless instrument access in terms of key factors such as initial construction workload, data transmission stability,on-site operation convenience,post-operation maintenance convenience and power supply stability. Based on the actual operation requirements and pain points of the platform,a more practical optimization strategy for instrument access is proposed, which provides guidance for the selection, deployment and maintenance of transmitters for Christmas trees on offshore platforms.
