Abstract: This article provides an overview of the definition of performance assessment and the background and implementation status of the performance assessment of national tertiary public hospitals. It also analyzes the implementation of the performance assessment of national tertiary public hospitals,explores the problems found in the assessment system,index setting,and implementation process,including insufficient coordination and cooperation among hospital departments,inadequate hospital informatization construction,high error rate in the first page of medical records,incomplete performance assessment indicators,and an underdeveloped internal performance assessment system in hospitals. Based on these findings,targeted optimization measures are proposed,such as strengthening overall coordination,enhancing policy support,improving medical record quality control,perfecting the assessment index system,and scientifically applying performance assessment results. These measures aim to better promote the implementation of refined management in tertiary public hospitals and advance the development of China’s health and wellness industry.
