Abstract: To explore the application of GF satellite in analyzing urban land use types and to provide a scientific basis for the planning and sustainable utilization of land resources, the characteristics of land use changes in Baoding were analyzed based on the remote sensing images of GF satellite from 2021,2023,and 2025. The results indicate that the distribution of land use types in Baoding is relatively concentrated, with the largest area of bare land. Compared with 2021,the area of construction land and cultivated land decreased in 2025,while the area of bare land increased. The area of forest land and water generally increased with a small range of fluctuation. This reflects that the structure and changes of land use are affected by multiple factors such as policy orientation, landforms, meteorological elements, and human activities.
