Abstract: High-quality medical science and technology journals have important practical significance for achieving the development strategy of a healthy China. Topic selection planning and manuscript solicitation are important means to improve the quality of journals. Local medical science and technology journals should fully utilize the advantages of their own disciplines and the unique medical resources in their respective regions. They should rely on industry branded academic forums,focus on industry hot issues,and be guided by the needs of researchers to carefully plan topic selection,effectively disseminate regional medical research achievements,and promote local medical development. This article takes the strategy and practical experience of topic selection planning in the Journal of Guangxi Medical University as an example to summarize the effectiveness of column manuscript solicitation in recent years,in order to provide reference and guidance for the high-quality development of medical science and technology journals in local universities.
