Abstract: To comprehensively understand the recent information on the publication indictors and influence status of Chinese journals in nuclear science, this paper statistically analyzes the influence performances of 14 kinds of nuclear science journals from the two perspectives of horizontal comparison of a single indicator and comprehensive evaluation of multiple indicators using CRITIC-TOPSIS model based on the data of Annual Report on the Impact Factors of Chinese Academic Journals (2019-2023 editions). For a single indictor, the overall development of nuclear science journals is relatively stable with the overall growth trend of each bibliometric indictor, and the diversification of journals with high index characteristics. But there is an obvious gap with the average level of domestic sci-tech journals, and the development imbalance among journals is accompanied by most of the indicators data polarization. For the multiple indicators synthesis, the comprehensive journals are significantly stronger than the professional-oriented journals, among which Atomic Energy Science and Technology,Nuclear Power Engineering and Nuclear Techniques are the high-level publications in this discipline. However, the comprehensive influence of journals within the discipline has been solidified over the years,or there may be signs of “Matthew effect”. The quality improvement measures are put forward from the aspects of manuscript source, publication, publicity and manpower.

Key words: bibliometric indictor, nuclear science journal, academic influence, quality evaluation
