Research Progress of Tildipirosin,a Novel Animal Antibiotic

Abstract

Abstract: Tildipirosin is a 16-membered macrocyclic ester drug,which is a new type of antibiotic for animals. It has the characteristics of rapid absorption,wide distribution,slow elimination and high bioavailability. The antibiotic has good bacteriostatic action to many kinds of pathogenic bacteria closely related to animal respiratory diseases. The physicochemical properties,pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of tildipirosin are reviewed to provide reference for its application in veterinary clinic.
