Abstract: As one of the core components of wind power generation equipment, the length of wind turbine blades is constantly upgrading with the development of the industry. However, the geographical location of wind farms is usually relatively remote, with poor road conditions. As the length of blades increases, the difficulty of blade transportation further increases. In recent years, blade damage caused by transportation is also common, which has brought great difficulties and hidden dangers to the quality of the blade itself and after-sales service. This paper mainly conducts a preliminary classification of blade damage types caused by transportation, and studies their detection and repairability.
Key words: wind turbine blade, transportation damage, defect detection, repairability
