Analysis of Preprint Acceptance Policies of Journals in Open Science Environment

Abstract

Abstract: Open science has promoted the development of the international scientific publishing models,and promoted the emergence of a new publishing model-preprints. Preprints have been recognized by academia for their great advantages such as free,fast,and open access,and have developed rapidly. But they have their own drawbacks,such as lack of a peer-review process,and manuscripts posted on preprint servers may share erroneous results,and so on. This paper analyzes the reasons and advantages of preprints,summarizes the current status of journals' acceptance of preprints,and aims to provide some help for journals to formulate preprint policies suitable for their own circumstances.
