Abstract: Shanxi belongs to a temperate continental monsoon climate area with rich forest resources,which plays an active role in improving the local climate environment,preventing soil erosion,and purifying the air. It is also conducive to balancing the local natural ecosystem and improving the anti-pressure capacity and bearing capacity of the ecosystem. Taking the forest disease and pest control in Shanxi Province as the research content,this paper analyzes the problems existing the forest disease and pest control in Shanxi Province,mainly including insufficient guarantee of the prevention and control work,neglect of disease and pest control of plantation forests,many kinds of forese diseases and pests,and short diffusion time of forest disease and pests;On this basis,the improvement methods of forest disease and pest control in Shanxi Province are given, mainly including strengthening inspection and quarantine,normalizing disaster warning,improving forest disease and pest control system,and reasonably applying disease and pest control methods of plantation forests.
