Failure Mode and Effect Analysis of Marine LNG Reliquefaction System

Abstract: LNG reliquefaction system is used to liquefy boil-off gas generated during LNG transportation. The Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) of the system is carried out. It is very important to take measures to reduce the risk before failure to ensure the safety of cargo tanks and improve the economy and flexibility of LNG carriers. Based on FMEA handbook and CCS standard,taking the key equipment,compander,as an example,this paper introduces the FMEA analysis method of LNG reliquefaction system,combs out the failure modes and optimization measures of the system,which has guiding significance for equipment development and testing.
