Analysis of Leakage and Diffusion during Operation of LNG Floating Transfer Barge Based on FLACS

Abstract: Taking the design scheme of LNG floating transfer barge as an example,the quantitative risk assessment is carried out for the high-risk scenario of LNG/NG leakage during the LNG transfer operation with 174,000 m3 and 30,000 m3 LNG carriers. The results of flammable vapor cloud diffusion after LNG leakage in different wind directions are superimposed according to the same concentration level,and the safe area for LNG transmission operation is determined accordingly.
