Abstract: The market economy is influenced by the laws of supply and demand, and medical resources are no exception. When the market mechanism fails, there can be a simultaneous presence of redundancy and scarcity in medical resources. Promoting resource sharing within the region has become one of the countermeasures to alleviate this problem. The country has made many positive attempts to balance the allocation of medical resources and improve the accessibility of medical treatment for residents in remote areas, including promoting the construction of medical consortium and carrying out health information reform. From the perspective of sharing economy, this paper explains the necessity of regional medical resource sharing, lists the practices that the government has done to promote it,analyzes the existing problems of regional medical resource sharing and puts forward policy suggestions.
