Abstract: The rapid increase in submission volume coupled with insufficient editorial staff represents an imminent practical challenge for domestic journals in the aftermath of their rapid development. This paper approaches the issue from three dimensions:academic editors, authors, and journal editors. Possible solutions include:improving the rejection rate in the technical check to manage the workload of academic editors, providing assistance to academic editors in manuscript handling process, promptly addressing format issues that affect peer review, careful handling of rejected manuscripts, and prioritizing the needs of authors. These practices can enhance the submission experience for authors. Dynamic work allocation and emphasizing alignment between individual aspirations and job requirements can improve work efficiency of journal editors. Employing these solutions can yield a dual enhancement in the quality of manuscript resources and the efficiency of the review process, even when editorial staff is insufficient.
