Research on corrosion treatment scheme for FPSO ballast tank in a certain oilfield

Abstract

Abstract: The ballast tank is in a state of alternating wet and dry conditions between seawater ballast and empty load for a long time,with high temperature and humidity,high salt content,and poor ventilation,which makes it prone to corrosion. Once the FPSO ballast tank leaks,it will cause serious economic losses and marine environmental pollution. To avoid this situation,this article provides a corrosion treatment scheme for the severe thinning of the wall panels,coating damage,anode failure and other corrosion problems of the ballast tank. It has reference significance for the corrosion treatment work of other FPSO ballast tanks.
