Abstract: As the Bohai Oilfield enters its middle-to-late development stage, old wells are usually redeveloped by sidetracking to make full use of old wellbores to extend the waterless production period and improve the recovery rate. Aiming at the development of thermal production oilfield,a new integrated cementing and sand control process is proposed. The upper open-hole section of sidetracking thermal production horizontal well is cemented and the lower open-hole section is implemented by gravel packing. At the same time, the cementing section can meet the requirements of 350 ℃ high temperature thermal production. After the pipe string scheme and construction scheme are proposed, the advanced nature of the new process is analyzed by comparative analysis method, and the reliability of the key tools and the feasibility of the construction process are verified by laboratory experiment. The experimental results show that the cementing and sand control integrated pipe string can meet the proposed construction process. The performance of the key tools of the internal and external pipe string is good and meets the expected function of the design. The process can realize the cementing and gravel packing operations in one drilling trip, greatly shorten the operation cycle, save the construction cost, and provide reference for the integrated process of sidetracking cementing and sand control in offshore thermal production wells.
