Abstract: As a professional journal of railway freight industry,Railway Freight Transport is in urgent need of transformation and development with the transformation and development of railway freight to logistics and the continuous deepening of modern logistics system construction. By expounding the development of the journal in publishing logistics-themed articles,this paper analyzes that the transformation and development of Railway Freight Transport towards industry logistics is not only to meet the needs of railway industry logistics development,but also to adapt to the fierce competition environment of the journal industry. The influencing factors of the transformation and development are analyzed from the aspects of academic hotspots in logistics,content quality,technological innovation applications and talent team construction. Some transformation and development countermeasures,such as changing the journal name and purpose,planning columns around logistics,insisting on content quality as the king,strengthening publishing technology innovation and perfecting talent team construction are put forward.
