Abstract: The Web of Science (WOS) Core Collection database was searched for studies related to fecal microbiota transplantation for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) published between January 2008 and January 2024. CiteSpace software was used for visual and quantitative analysis to reveal trends, hot topics, and academic influence, providing a reference for future research. A total of 228 articles were retrieved. Temporal distribution of publications shows three phases. China has the highest output. Nanjing Medical University is the top-ranked. Publishing instiution, the journal with the largest number of publications is Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, and the author with the largest number of publications is Cui Bota. Recent hot topics include mechanism, pathogenesis, barrier, and metabolites.

Key words: inflammatory bowel disease, fecal microbiota transplantation, bibliometrics, visual analysis
