Abstract: Using the method of bibliometrics,this paper conducts a statistical analysis of information indexes such as the professional titles and affiliated institutions of first authors,funded projects of papers,research fields,publication delay,cited frequency,and download frequency of the papers published in Progress in Earthquake Sciences from 2020 to 2024. The results show that the journal has presented the following trends in the past five years: the proportion of contributors with a master's degree or above has increased year by year;researchers with associate senior titles and intermediate or above titles have gradually become the core contributor group of the journal;the number of papers authored by seismological bureaus of various provinces and their subordinate units accounts for a relatively large proportion;most papers are funded by various fund projects;geophysics is the main direction of published papers;most manuscripts can be published within 10 months;the impact factor has shown an upward trend year by year;and the cited frequency reflects that the journal is developing well.
